CDL-B Delivery Driver

About the role

We are seeking a CDL-B Delivery Driver to join our distribution team. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and focuses on increasing company profitability and customer satisfaction through complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs
  • Prepare truck for operation by loading product, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers
  • Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind
  • Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive any updated instructions
  • Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies
  • Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and keep required documents for safety, security, and quality processes
  • Work with other distribution team members to ensure complete, accurate, and on-time deliveries to customers
  • Represent the company in a highly professional, safe, and cost-effective manner
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record and comply with all DOT and other applicable regulations
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Increase customer satisfaction by collecting feedback, resolving complaints, and communicating information back to the company
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required
  • Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties
  • Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
  • Good driving record
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Team-focused (team player)
  • Dedicated and reliable
  • Position may require lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 50 pounds, working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

Schedule

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, day shift only.
