CDL B Delivery Driver

AWG is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial gases and welding supplies, serving a large and diversified customer base across the United States from over 100 retail locations and 22 fill plants.

About the role

This position is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and storing gas and liquid cylinders, CO₂ and cryogenic liquids, and other hard goods. Drivers make deliveries to customers or other branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.

Responsibilities

• Move, load, and unload empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Load, unload, and deliver CO₂ and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels
• Read, understand, and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations
• Ensure appropriate preparation, completion, and accuracy of paperwork, including shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker, and Airbrakes endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; lift 50–75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
