Responsibilities
- Completing comprehensive training with classroom, load securement, equipment familiarity, and hands-on driving instruction.
- Participating in four weeks of OTR training with an experienced driver trainer to develop essential skills.
- Learning to perform thorough DOT pre-trip inspections and mastering driving and backing techniques.
- Receiving ongoing support from a trainer based within 150 miles to facilitate home weekends during training.
Qualifications and skills
- Valid CDL-A with little or no driving experience.
- No recent DOT-reportable accidents or DUIs.
- Ability to demonstrate work history over the past five years.
Benefits and pay
- Potential first-year earnings up to $100,000.
- Paid training at $650 weekly during orientation and final road week.
- Additional pay for tarp work and holiday pay.
