About the role
Local CDL-A City P&D Driver position based at the Davenport, IA Service Center. Drivers perform daily city delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal each day. The role involves multiple customer stops, use of scanning equipment, direct customer interaction, and potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.
Schedule
Full-time position with the following hours:
- Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Drivers are home every day.
Pay
Starting pay: $34.53 per hour.
Responsibilities
- City delivery and pickup of freight
- Multiple stops per working day
- Operate scanning equipment
- Direct customer interaction
- Perform liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack
Requirements
- CDL Class A license
- 1 year of combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
- Good driving record/MVR and PSP with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years
- Minimum age: 23 (21 if successfully met FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL)
- Ability to operate equipment safely at all times
- Pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen
- Successfully complete a road test
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
- Dependable
Preferred Qualifications
- Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements
- Experience hauling hazardous materials
- Local delivery experience
- LTL experience
- Electric pallet jack experience
