About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking CDL‑A City P&D Drivers for its Scranton, PA Service Center. Drivers perform city delivery and pickup of freight, return to the terminal daily, and enjoy being home every day.

Responsibilities

• City delivery and pickup of freight, returning to the terminal daily
• Multiple stops per working day
• Operating scanning equipment
• Working directly with customers
• Completing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack

Requirements

• CDL Class A
• 1 year combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Good driving record/MVR and PSP – no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total in the past 3 years
• Age 23 (21 if FMCSA military‑to‑civilian CDL transition requirements are met)
• Ability to operate equipment safely at all times
• Pass pre‑employment DOT physical and drug screen
• Complete a successful road test
• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty
• Dependability
• Preferred: doubles/triples, tanker, and haz‑mat CDL endorsements
• Experience hauling haz‑mat
• Local delivery experience
• LTL experience
• Electric pallet jack experience

Pay

Starting at $37.94 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, Monday – Friday, various shifts; drivers are home every day.
