CDL-A Truck Driver (Bulk Milk Truck)

About the role

Ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of dairy products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a heavily insulated tank truck to transport bulk milk between farms, dairies, and commercial establishments.
• Examine milk to detect sediment or stale odor and take samples for laboratory analysis.
• Observe the level gauge of the storage tank and compute and record the weight of milk in the tank.
• Connect hoses and turn valves to pump milk into the truck.
• Wash the truck and may clean and sterilize the tank.
• Load and drive refrigerated vans to haul cans of milk.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and submit inspection papers, driver logs, and other legal documents.
• Give grades to the milk in bulk tanks and handle quality control to ensure it meets FDA standards.
• Ensure safe operation of the milk truck at all times and on-time delivery.
