CDL A Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Hauling machinery and other cargo.
• Must be familiar with all traffic laws and safety requirements.
• Inspect and maintain all equipment and report any mechanical issues with the truck to their dispatcher.
• Has some working knowledge of operating heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, pavers, rollers, etc.) for unloading purposes.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisor with other duties as required.

Requirements

• CDL class A license - REQUIRED.
• Trucking and hauling experience (recent, past 3 years).
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Keen eye for detail and safety issues.
• Working knowledge of operating heavy equipment for unloading purposes.
• Willing to work/desires overtime and extended hours.

About the Role

As a Heavy Haul Truck Driver, you will drive to a pick-up site, load the proper materials, and drop it off at the construction site. This position will be required to pick up small equipment, load it on single/double axel trailer, and haul it to a job site. This means the individual hired for this position must be able to operate equipment and inspect the truck for any damage or general mechanical issues.
