About the role

We are one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and among the preeminent specialty contractors in the nation. We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects. Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a skilled CDL-A Truck Driver to join our transportation team.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to designated destinations. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely delivery of products and contributing to our company's reputation for reliability.

  • Operate company owned and leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
  • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of construction materials and equipment
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
  • Safely haul material to our jobsites
  • Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
  • Must operate and maintain company equipment in a safe manner at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Class A CDL required
  • One or more year(s) flatbed tractor-trailer experience
  • Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company
  • Availability for overnights 2-3 nights average
  • Clean driving record with no history of major accidents or traffic violations
  • Ability to operate and maintain commercial vehicles safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing paperwork and logs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with dispatchers, customers, and team members
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules
  • Commitment to safety, both for oneself and others on the road
  • Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
