CDL A Truck Driver

About the role

Local/regional route with every-other-day home time delivering mixed freight and retail goods. Accurate and timely deliveries are essential.

Schedule

• Typically Monday–Friday nights, with occasional Saturday nights
• Shift starts at 11:45 PM; pull out between 1:00 AM–4:00 AM
• 10-hour to overnight shifts, varying by day
• Routes run Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday
• Every-other-day home time: complete delivery route on first day, stay overnight in a hotel, then drive home the second day (4–6 hours)
• Typically 2 days off per week
• Averages 40–45 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Deliver mixed freight (5 lbs–90 lbs) to retail stores with varying setups
• Handle touch freight using handcart dolly, conveyors, and dividers to secure cartons
• Physically unload every piece of freight from the truck
• Perform some warehouse work as required

Route details

• States serviced: AR, AL, KY, IN, MO, TN, MS
• Maximum round-trip distance: 550 miles
• Typical route distance: 530–540 miles

Equipment

• 53' dry van with roll-up door
• Automatic transmission

Requirements

• 12 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 3 years
• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid DOT medical card
• Acceptable MVR and accident history
• Good work history

Pay

• $29.00 per hour
• $30 per diem
• Overtime pay after 40 hours
