CDL A Truck Driver

About the role

Misfits Market is seeking a highly skilled and experienced driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will operate a Class A commercial vehicle to deliver groceries efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all DOT and Misfits Market safety standards, including wearing seatbelts, using hands-free features, and obeying traffic laws.
• Operate a tractor-trailer with professionalism and courtesy towards other drivers.
• Drive in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, prioritizing safety in all aspects of driving, loading, and unloading.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately, such as delivery logs, invoices, inspections, and hours of service logs.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for each delivery.
• Maintain open communication with dispatch, warehouse, and leadership, reporting any delays, issues, or schedule changes promptly.
• Operate computer/internal freight monitoring systems and be available for around the clock shifts to accommodate freight movements.
• Work flexible hours, including possible weekends, to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Possess a valid state-issued driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Hold a valid Class A Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Be registered with DOT and have a valid DOT-required medical card.
• Have 2 years of previous tractor-trailer driving experience or be a graduate of a State certified and licensed truck driving school.
• Comfortable operating a tractor-trailer in all types of weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and/or possible weekends if needed.
