About the role

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. The company is headquartered in Cary, N.C., and serves residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets. The position is permanent and full-time, with a shift as a Full-Time Day Shift.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver windows and doors to dealers, distribution centers, and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver logs, possible fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speed in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight loading dock areas.
• Safely assist in the loading and unloading of the product to customer’s location and/ or return products. (Driver will be required to handle the windows and doors).
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights.
• Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations.
• Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to the appropriate contact.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL License, clean MVR, and current Medical Card.
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable).
• Prior experience in construction field a plus.
• Able to work independently or with a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Able to plan and manage time efficiently.
• Able to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions.
• Experience driving commercial/residential construction job sites.

Benefits

The US base pay range for this full-time position is $39.00 per hour to $44.00 per hour + medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
