CDL-A Truck Driver
About the role
The Calumet City, IL branch of Alta Equipment Group is seeking a full-time CDL-A truck driver for a first shift, Monday through Friday, hourly position. This is a union role through Local 150.
Responsibilities
- Timely delivery of equipment and basic upkeep of the truck
- Operate two types of trailers: beaver tail trailers and lowboy trailers
- Maintain daily trip logs
- Accurately complete paperwork
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Work and manage workloads independently
- Proper completion and submission of all required paperwork
- Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of previous CDL-A truck driving experience
- Experience with Lowboy truck
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record
- Ability to drive stick shift
Qualifications
- Intermediate reading and interpreting documents
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Intermediate reasoning ability
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Intermediate computer skills with HYPASS, Hyster TKC training software, and Hyster contact management system
- Intermediate language skills
Pay
$37.00 per hour
Schedule
First shift, Monday through Friday
