About the role
We are seeking a CDL A Transit Driver with a Doubles Endorsement Required. This position involves transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit. Night shifts ensure you'll be home every day, and there's no touch freight required.
Responsibilities
- Transport loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles
- Operate a 10-speed transmission
- Drive safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL License at hire
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience with your class A
- Doubles (T) endorsement required
- Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs (connecting trailers)
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English
- Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
- Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
- Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020

Drivers average $75,000 - $80,000 Daily base pay, plus component payPaid for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered
Schedule
3rd shift - 4-5 days, Sunday through Thursday night
