Ecolab is seeking a Customer Delivery Specialist in City of Industry, CA to deliver bulk chemicals from our new private fleet shipping center.
About the Role
As a DOT driving professional, you will safely operate a diesel, bulk tanker vehicle over congested city highways, rolling and mountainous terrain, and rural roads. You will perform pre-trip inspections on vehicles used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and warehouse locations.
Responsibilities
- Bulk/tanker chemical delivery within a 500-mile radius from the City of Industry plant location.
- Safely operate vehicles including delivery trucks, tank trucks, and over-the-road trucks.
- Maintain driver's hours of service using Samsara and/or paper logbook reporting.
- Maintain truck and equipment in safe and operable condition through daily and periodic mechanical and safety inspections.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date delivery location maps and comply with DOT regulations for hazardous materials transportation, including homeland security requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with sales and supervisor to report field problems and/or safety hazards.
- Follow Ecolab Verified Delivery procedures for all delivery assignments.
- Wear appropriate safety gear during delivery operations and stay current on safety techniques.
- Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment.
- Occasional overnight delivery.
- Ability to back and parallel park bulk tankers, straight trucks, semi-trucks, and trailers into narrow passages through expensive industrial equipment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HazMat & Tanker endorsements, no restrictions.
- 3 years of commercial driving experience compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations from the past 3 years.
- Willingness to travel up to 5 days per week, home on weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of equipment compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and DOT regulations for hazardous materials transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of bulk, tanker experience.
- Bulk, tanker experience with hazardous chemicals.

Pay
$37/hour average, based on experience. Compensation is hourly, not per load, and determined by factors such as experience, education, training, and geography.
Schedule
Home on weekends, holidays, and paid time off. Willingness to travel up to 5 days per week, including occasional overnight delivery.
