CDL A - Shuttle Truck Driver

Graves Foods, a 75-year-old wholesale foodservice distributor, serves nursing homes, schools, restaurants, and other foodservice providers throughout the Midwest.

About the role

A CDL A Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods or equipment between specified locations, typically within a regional area. Key duties include loading and unloading cargo, maintaining accurate delivery records, inspecting vehicles for safety, and adhering to traffic laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Work Sunday–Thursday, dispatched between 10 PM–12 AM, with an estimated 7 AM return
• Meet at the Jefferson City warehouse to organize paperwork for the day
• Perform drop-and-hook deliveries to Vinita, OK or Kansas City, MO
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and record findings before departing around 9 PM
• Operate a company vehicle to transport products to multiple locations
• Physically unload products at customers’ places of business
• Maintain DOT and company-required records throughout the day
• Complete post-trip inspections and submit paperwork
• Clean truck, refuel, and top off all necessary fluids

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Current and valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 1 year of experience driving commercial vehicles
• Current and valid CDL physical
• Compliance with DOT regulations to maintain an excellent DOT rating and ensure road safety
