Schedule

Sunday through Thursday, starting between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM (3rd shift).

About the Role

As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and return with full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. This role involves driving tandem trailers, tractor-trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, and perform duties to support the company’s food distribution operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations and company safety standards.
  • Report safety issues, hazards, or required repairs immediately.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving policies.
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Ensure all route paperwork is present and available upon dispatch.
  • Drive and deliver trailers according to the predetermined route schedule.
  • Perform hook/unhook procedures safely and park/store equipment in designated areas.
  • Secure all equipment and freight, ensuring trailers are locked when necessary.
  • Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns, completing required paperwork.
  • Unload equipment, materials, and trash from trailers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of hours of service and logs per federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
  • Ability to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and stack product cases/freight weighing 60–90 pounds throughout the shift.
