CDL A Shuttle Driver

About the role

We are hiring a Delivery Driver, CDL A in Salt Lake City, UT. Airgas is the largest supplier of dry ice and provides a range of services including production plants, distribution branches, and cold shipping supplies.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate delivery vehicles to provide dry ice to our customers' places of business.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to carefully load and unload dry ice.
• Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch, ensuring a seamless service cycle.
• Provide customer service and foster understanding by sharing feedback from customers with the Branch Manager to improve our collective service.
• Conduct thorough pre and post trip reviews on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and professional environment inside the vehicle.
• Uphold all company policies, safety standards, and DOT/OSHA requirements to ensure a secure workplace for everyone.
• Ensure cargo stability and safety prior to and during transit.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL & Airbrake endorsements
• Able and licensed to drive a standard transmission
• Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsement
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Able to work in a drug-free environment
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

Qualifications

• 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 5 years
• Forklift Certification
• Pallet Jack Certification
• 2 years of route driver experience (preferred)

Pay

$31/Hr. Referral Bonus: $1000.00

Schedule

Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend starting at 2am-5am. (2-3 layovers per week, Per Diem provided)
