CDL-A Regional Driver | Flexible Home Time | Grads Welcome

About the role

South Jersey drivers operate Northeast regional freight routes, averaging 1,900 miles per week which unlocks weekends off. The work is primarily drop and hook, avoids New York City boroughs, and allows drivers to shape their home time. New CDL graduates begin with a paid mentor. Regional lanes run from Virginia up through the Northeast, mostly drop and hook with some live loads and unloads, and drivers typically get home every two weeks for two full days.

Responsibilities

• Perform drop and hook operations (most cases)
• Handle some live loads and unloads
• Operate outside New York City boroughs
• Shape home time to achieve weekend off when reaching 1,900 miles weekly
• Follow 34‑hour reset schedule for home time
• Participate in mentor‑led training for backing, logs, fueling, and trip planning
• Maintain safe driving and compliance while meeting mileage goals

Requirements

• Class A CDL from your state of residence
• Age 21 or older
• Either a new CDL graduate with 120+ school hours or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• Pass DOT physical, hair and urine drug screen
