CDL-A Port Truck Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated full-time CDL-A Port Truck Driver to join our team in Carteret, NJ. You will drive a day cab tractor pulling 40-45' ocean containers from Port Elizabeth, Newark, or Staten Island to Carteret, NJ, or Parkesburg, PA.

Responsibilities

• Perform general warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trailers
• Complete deliveries and/or pickups to various locations
• Perform lift gate deliveries, including unloading and loading at stops as needed
• Ensure the security and safety of the tractor and freight; adhere to all FMCSA safety regulations and guidelines
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Must obtain Hazmat within 90 days of employment
• Minimum 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience
• Must have TWIC Card (Sealink card helpful)
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• No more than three moving violations and/or accidents within the last three years (subject to review)
• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance

Pay

Earn $31.75 per hour with weekly pay every Friday via direct deposit.

Schedule

Between 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM start time; home daily.
