CDL A Owner operator

About the Role

Waiters Services is seeking CDL A Owner Operators who own their own truck to handle delivery routes for Pathmark, a family-owned company with over 30 years in business. Routes include out-of-state and local deliveries in Douglasville, GA. Loading and unloading are required as specified by customers. A handheld scanner is used to capture data on all cartons, and deliveries must be made within specified time windows. Drivers must maintain a steady, safe pace while providing a professional and positive customer experience.

Drivers generally service the same territory and return home every night, enjoying consistent work and compensation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to local and out-of-state customers in Douglasville, GA
• Load and unload freight as requested by customers
• Use a handheld scanner to capture data on all cartons
• Complete deliveries within specified time windows
• Maintain a steady, safe pace while operating the vehicle
• Provide professional and positive customer service
• Handle freight up to 70 lbs

Requirements

• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• No more than 2 minor preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Must meet FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) requirements
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must own a CDL A truck

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience preferred
• Delivery driving experience (required)
• 1 year of heavy lifting experience (required)
