Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver windows and doors to dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Practice safe driving and delivery while providing top-notch customer service.
• Assist in loading and unloading products at customer locations or return products as needed.
• Handle frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights.
• Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations.
• Apply commercial driving skills to maneuver vehicles in difficult situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or tight loading dock areas.
• Maintain required records for compliance including driver logs, ELD, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other legally required documentation.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
• Answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content; direct customers to appropriate contacts when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record.
• Two years of commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable).
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• General mental ability to handle receipts, read maps, read road signs, maintain electronic logs, and operate safety control devices.
• Ability to follow instructions and take directions via on-board computer system and by phone and email.
• Working knowledge of Zebra phones and Flex iPod or equivalent scanning equipment is a plus.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work independently and effectively with people in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Pay

Base pay rate starts at $39.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full time, Day Shift; regional travel during the week with occasional Saturdays based on business needs.
