CDL-A Night Transit Driver

About the role

Picture yourself as a transit driver with Gordon Food Service! Night shifts and transit routes mean you’ll be home daily for the things that really matter. You'll be driving loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin and taking empty trailers to the distribution center in Kenosha. In this role you could run a relay delivery for some of our farther out drop yards with minimal case loading/unloading (returned products only). Responsibilities

• Drive loaded trucks to drop yards throughout Wisconsin.
• Transport empty trailers to the distribution center in Kenosha.
• Perform relay deliveries for farther‑out drop yards, involving minimal case loading/unloading (returned products only).

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Class A CDL license at hire or obtain within 90 days of start date.
• Possess a doubles endorsement.
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test (including marijuana) and background check.
• Maintain a clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent (effective January 6, 2020).
• If you currently work for a Gordon Food Service customer, provide a letter of support from your management if selected for an interview.

Schedule

Sunday‑Thursday nights. Start times vary but usually begin around 5‑7 PM.
