CDL A Night Reefer Driver - Comstock Park, MI

Get Fresh Produce, a FreshEdge LLC company, operates a modern distribution fleet of 125 fully refrigerated trucks and tractors, all maintained and fueled on-site. Our drivers use individual tablets to process deliveries electronically, track routes and hours of service, and communicate with the team. Pay

Average annual earnings: $85,000+

• Hourly base rate (determined by license type, average 40–55 hours per week):
  • CDL A Night Shift: $28.00/hour
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
• Weekly direct deposit
• Sign-on bonus: $5,000 net, paid as $1,250 at 90 days of employment and quarterly thereafter

Schedule

• 5-day work week (night shift: Sunday–Friday)
• Off Saturday and one other day during the week
• Start times vary but typically range from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
• Home daily most days of the week

Responsibilities

• Drive throughout Michigan within a ~250-mile radius (routes may change)
• Make 4–8 stops per night
• Touch freight and hand-unload deliveries
• Hand-deliver to restaurants using a hand-cart/2-wheel dolly or lift gate
• Lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs without assistance

Equipment

• Conventional tractor with 36’–48’ refrigerated trailer
• Automatic and manual transmissions available

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a CDL A license
• Air-brakes endorsement required
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements
• Must be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs
• Must live within 40 miles of Comstock Park, MI, or be willing to relocate

Qualifications

• 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred (not required)
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
