About the role

Get Fresh Produce, a company owned by FreshEdge LLC, operates a modern distribution fleet of 125 fully refrigerated trucks and tractors that are regularly maintained and fueled on-site. Drivers are equipped with individual tablets to process deliveries electronically, track routes and hours of service, and communicate with the team. The company emphasizes efficiency, creativity, and meticulous execution to meet customer needs in service, quality, food safety, reporting, and technology.

This is a union position with a 5-day work week on the night shift (Sunday–Friday), with one additional day off during the week. Start times vary but typically range from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Drivers will cover routes throughout the Midwest, making 4–10 stops per night with hand deliveries to restaurants using a 2-wheel dolly or hand-cart, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional tractors or refrigerated box trucks for local night deliveries.
• Perform hand deliveries to restaurants using a 2-wheel dolly, ramps, and hand-cart.
• Lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs without assistance.
• Navigate routes throughout the Midwest with flexibility for changes.
• Use electronic tablets to process deliveries, track routes, and log hours of service.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain compliance with testing and physical requirements.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must hold a CDL A license with air-brakes endorsement.
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
• Must live within 40 miles of Bartlett, IL, or be willing to relocate.

While 6 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Pay

Average annual earnings: $85,000+.

• Hourly base rate: $28.75/hour for CDL A Night Shift.
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked.
• Paid via direct deposit weekly.
