About the role

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer safely and efficiently.
• Manually unload and deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations.
• Build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude.
• Become familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations.
• Follow assigned route schedule.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass employment testing.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to lift, push, or move freight weighing an average of 40‑60 pounds and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Must have at least one year of food/beverage delivery experience.
