CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver - Part-Time Friday's and Saturday's

About the role

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.

Schedule

This position is for working on Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customer locations
• Manually unload and deliver products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.
• Build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude
• Become familiar with customer operations to meet needs and expectations

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass employment testing
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records
• Ability to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40–60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly (touch freight)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of customer delivery experience
• 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience
• 2 years of consistent work history
