CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver (Food/Bev)

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

About the Role

Our drivers are responsible for delivering a wide range of products to various customer locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. They also play a key role in maintaining positive relationships with customers through their professional demeanor and familiarity with customer operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport various products to customer locations.
• Manually unload/deliver products to customer locations according to the assigned route schedule.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ensure all products are delivered in a safe and timely manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years consistent work history preferred.
