About the role

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with each customer using a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer
Manually unload and deliver various products to customer locations
Build relationships with customers to meet their needs and expectations

Requirements

21+ years of age
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for conversing with the public, understanding highway traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and making entries on reports
Ability to lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly
Flexibility to work overtime as required, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:

1 year of customer delivery experience
6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience
6 months of food and beverage experience
2 years of consistent work history
