CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

About the Role

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to deliver products to customer locations.
• Manually unload and deliver various products, including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies.
• Build and maintain customer relationships with a positive and friendly attitude.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly.

Requirements

• 21+ years of age.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of customer delivery experience.
• 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience.
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience.
• 2 years of consistent work history.
