CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Job Summary

Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload/deliver various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Our truck drivers build relationships with each customer using their positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

About the Role

Our drivers are responsible for delivering a wide variety of products to customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high safety standards. They also play a crucial role in building strong relationships with customers through excellent communication and service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer to transport various products to customer locations.
• Manually unload/deliver products to customer locations according to the assigned route schedule.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional interactions.
• Ensure all deliveries are made safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Handle product loading/unloading, which may involve lifting and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed to meet business demands.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Passing employment testing.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

Preferred Requirements

• One year of customer delivery experience.
• Six months of hand cart/hand truck experience.
• Six months of food and beverage experience.
• Twelve months of consistent work history.
