Job Summary
About the role
Sysco has immediate job openings for dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver positions. These roles involve safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer and manually unloading/delivering various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tractor-trailer and deliver products to customer locations on an assigned route schedule.
- Build relationships with customers using a positive, friendly attitude and familiarity with their operations.
- Lift, push, or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication with the general public, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and making entries on reports and records.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Qualifications
- Preferred 1 year customer delivery experience.
- Preferred 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience.
- Preferred 6 months Food and Beverage experience.
- Preferred 2 years consistent work history.
