Wooster Motor Ways is seeking a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul powdered-cement freight on local routes with daily or weekend home time.
Pay
- Starting compensation: 25% of line haul ($1,300–$1,600 per week average)
- 90-day increase to 28% of line haul
- Additional pay for:
- Additional stops
- Short-haul loads
- Detention
- Driver unload / assist unload
- HazMat loads
- Holiday work
- Trailer spotting / extra drop hook
- Breakdowns
- All hourly work paid as straight time
- Weight-ticket reimbursements at face value

Equipment
International LT trucks equipped with microwave, refrigerator, TV, premium driver’s seat, and auxiliary power unit (APU).
Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly
- Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight
- Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation
- Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct
- Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fluids, minor repairs); keep trailer clean and ready
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL (required)
- HazMat endorsement (preferred, not required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card (preferred, not required)
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
