CDL-A - Intermodal truck driver

Average pay: $1,250–$1,530 weekly. Home time: weekly. Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL experience required.

About the role

Haul freight containers secured to company-owned chassis. 95% no-touch freight that is 85% drop-and-hook. Drive in and out of railyards within AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN and VA.

Pay and bonus potential

• Mileage pay and load pay, plus hourly pay while on duty, not driving
• Paid orientation
• Paid time off after 6 months, plus 6 days of holiday pay per year
• Annual bonus: earn up to 3% of annual gross pay each year

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Tanker endorsement is strongly preferred
• HazMat endorsement required within 90 days of hire (Schneider provides self-paced online certification training)
• Live within 50 miles of Savannah, GA
• Minimum 3 months of Class A driving experience
