CDL-A Intermodal 4-Day Week - Home Daily

About the role

Union and Middlesex County drivers perform intermodal work four days a week and are home every day. The role involves local container moves out of Avenel, including drop‑and‑hook and live loads, with holidays scheduled at the driver’s discretion.

Responsibilities

• Perform drop‑and‑hook and live load operations
• Complete 3 to 4+ hookups per day
• Receive mentorship on backing, trip planning, logs and fueling during the first 4‑6 weeks
• Operate assigned trucks from a fleet averaging 1.5 years old with 10‑speed and automatic transmissions

Requirements

• Be 21 years of age or older
• Hold a valid Class A CDL
• Have no more than two moving violations in the last two years
• Have no DUI/DWI convictions in the last ten years
• Pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test

Qualifications

• New drivers must have at least 120 hours of training from a CDL school; otherwise, six months of recent driving experience is required
• Live within approximately 50 miles of Avenel (preferred)
