About the role

The Operations Specialist will contribute to the safe testing and operation of autonomous trucks, providing feedback on system performance and behaviors while hauling commercial freight.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate autonomous trucks on the public roads to support development testing and commercial pilot operations.
• Haul commercial freight between customer locations and/or meet points.
• Provide feedback on system performance to advance self-driving technology.
• Utilize internal tools on a smartphone/tablet to track work assigned and completed.
• Uphold industry-leading safety standards, remaining compliant with internal benchmarks.
• Remain alert and attentive while operating during extended stretches of autonomy.

Qualifications & Safety Standards

• Experience: 7+ years of Class A driving experience
• License: Valid Class A CDL (Airbrake Endorsement) and current DOT Medical Certificate
• Zero-Tolerance Safety Record: No history of reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, or license suspensions/revocations
• No Moving Violations within the last 7 years, including speeding, running red lights/stop signs, failure to yield, tailgating, improper turns/lane changes, distracted driving, seat belt violations, or unlawful passing (school buses/railroad crossings)
• Testing: Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and sleep apnea screening

Pay, Benefits, and Schedule

Compensation: $32.00 – $37.00/hr + Annual Bonus + Profit Sharing
