CDL-A Flatbed Regional Truck Driver - $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
About the role
As a CDL Driver for SPS, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a flatbed truck or tractor and flatbed trailer. Your primary responsibilities include checking in and out with your supervisor daily for all work assignments, safely operating the vehicle, securing cargo using straps, chains, and other securing devices, completing shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time, complying with all regulations, reporting any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly, maintaining communication with supervisor, sales, and customers as required, performing equipment maintenance, conducting pre and post-trip inspections, maintaining all daily records, hours of service (HOS), driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), proof of deliveries, and fuel receipts. You must be physically able to secure your loads with chains, protect your load with tarps, and have the physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and secure heavy and oversized loads. Additionally, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, accountability, safety, integrity, and trust.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor/trailer
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and other securing devices
- Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Comply with all regulations
- Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations promptly
- Maintain communication with supervisor, sales, and customers as required
- Perform equipment maintenance, conduct pre and post-trip inspections
- Maintain all daily records, HOS, DVIR, proof of deliveries, and fuel receipts
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements
- Valid Medical Card
- Excellent driving record
- Familiarity with relevant transportation regulations and safety standards
- Knowledge of securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and secure heavy and oversized loads
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Accountability, safety, integrity, and trust
