CDL A Flatbed Driver

Home daily. Competitive pay and benefits including 401(k) match and paid vacation. This position is responsible for transporting masonry, dry mix, and hardscapes products to stores, jobsites, and distribution yards. The role offers consistent work with a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Transport masonry, bagged concrete, and hardscapes materials to customers.
• Make assigned deliveries safely and timely.
• Assist and supervise loading of truck to ensure proper order and weight distribution.
• Unload cargo, including operating boom cranes and truck‑mounted forklifts.
• Receive dispatch instructions, invoices, and follow special directions in detail.
• Maintain complete and accurate records such as daily truck log, fuel tickets, delivery documentation, and other required documents per state and federal regulations.
• Maintain good customer relations.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and report any concerns immediately.
• Obtain shipping bills, secure necessary signatures, and return paperwork to the shipping department.
• Operate tractor‑trailer/vehicle in compliance with state and federal laws and safety regulations.
• Survey job site and unload cargo in the safest available area.
• Inventory and inspect goods to verify quantities, match paperwork, and ensure condition is safe for transport.
• Monitor and promptly report problems with equipment, product quality, customer satisfaction, and traffic.
• Perform other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CDL‑A with at least 2 years of current CDL experience.
• Safe driving record and valid Medical Card.
• Annual DOT physical.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform general physical activities (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, etc.).
• Detail‑oriented with good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work in warehouse and production areas with temperature variations and moderate to high noise levels.

Pay

Compensation for this role is $28 per hour.
