About the role

As a CDL Truck Driver at Caesarstone, you will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of quartz slabs while serving as a key point of contact with customers. You will assist material handlers in loading orders, maintain your truck in optimal condition, and undergo training in Warehouse Operations before route assignment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a late-model sleeper tractor and flatbed between Distribution Centers.
• Ensure proper strapping and securing of various types of cargo to prevent damages and ensure safety during transit.
• Comply with all relevant traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
• Utilize an ELD system for accurate recording and reporting of driving hours.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and proper maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring it is always well-maintained.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license (TWIC license preferred, not required).
• Expect to be over the road at least twice a week.
• 1+ year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Skill in operating listed tools and equipment.
• Excellent safety and compliance record.
• Strong driving skills and flexibility to accommodate different start times.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Able to work with tight deadlines in a multi-task, high-priority environment.
• Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
• Ability to make independent judgments with moderate impact on the organization.

Working Conditions

• Monday - Friday schedule with over-the-road/overnight runs at least twice a week.
• May require driving for extended periods, including unloading cargo and making multiple deliveries.
• Work both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to variable weather conditions.
• Overtime as required, with possible weekend work.
• Physical demands include:
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly performing physical movements such as sitting for long driving hours, handling/gripping tools, climbing into the cab or onto the vehicle, stooping, crouching, and pushing/pulling safety straps.
• Manual dexterity required for using a desktop computer and peripherals.
