Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a CDL Driver/Material Handler! You’ll play a crucial role in transporting and delivering products or materials locally. When you’re not on the road, you’ll be an essential part of our warehouse operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver with Pride: Transport merchandise locally to customers, branch locations, or final destinations, always projecting courtesy and a positive company image.
- Team Player: Communicate effectively across multiple teams and individual associates to achieve successful results and completion of tasks.
- Vehicle Care: Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips, maintain general care and upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintain a good driving record, and hold a proper commercial driver’s license.
- Compliance: Follow Federal Highway Administration Rules and Regulations for Interstate drivers, maintain driver logs according to D.O.T. regulations.
- Material Handling: Accurately assemble, load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site to designated areas as per Sales Tickets, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Packaging: Package merchandise for shipment by common carrier.
- Equipment Operation: Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Driver Requirements: Commercial Driver’s License and ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and Clearinghouse consent.
- Communication Skills: Actively listen, convey ideas and information, and engage in cross-team collaboration.
- Capability: Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Three to five years of documented related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
