CDL A Driver III
About the role
The CDL Driver III supports Field Services operations by operating vacuum trucks, semi-vac units, and related field-service equipment to transport primarily non-hazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials. The role includes pulling hoses, off-loading, and general task-based labor associated with vacuum operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum trucks (straight-body and semi-vac trucks) to transport non-hazardous sludge and occasional hazardous materials such as caustics or acids.
- Perform daily pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Affix placards only when required; most loads are non-hazardous.
- Accurately complete required paperwork including manifests, logs, timesheets, and inspection reports.
- Ensure proper communication with dispatch, field service leadership, and site personnel throughout the workday.
- Support field service work, including shop duties, staging equipment, and off-loading materials when not on a transport run.
- Work collaboratively or independently depending on the project scope.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL Class A (Class B may be considered only for highly experienced vacuum-truck operators willing to obtain CDL A).
- Manual transmission proficiency required – all trucks are 10-speed or 13-speed.
- Clean and acceptable driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet all DOT medical requirements.
- HazMat and Tanker Endorsements preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior field services experience including manual labor, confined-space environments, or industrial service work would be considered an asset.

Pay
The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $52,200.00 - $69,400.00 USD.
