3rd Shift, 6pm - 4am, 4-day work week! Up to $29/hour!

Essential Functions

  • Complies with Driver responsibilities as outlined in company DAART program and as required by DOT.
  • Maintain vehicle in accordance to Elkhart Transportation management policy.
  • Operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner complying with company policy and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Support on-time delivery by transporting loads by established route to proper destination as efficiently as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Inspect trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and it is the correct load before leaving facility.
  • Verify product count while truck is being loaded.
  • Comply with obtaining correct acknowledgement or signature and date for bill of lading and necessary signatures and date; return properly completed documentation to Transportation Manager.
  • Comply with performance measures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • CDL A License.
  • Prior experience driving in large vehicles, such as box truck or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience practicing safe driving practices.
  • Previous experience delivering and handling freight preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear.
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Sit occasionally.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequent exposure to ambient temperatures.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • On the road, may encounter traffic or other hazardous driving conditions.
