Description
3rd Shift, 6pm - 4am, 4-day work week! Up to $29/hour!
Essential Functions
- Complies with Driver responsibilities as outlined in company DAART program and as required by DOT.
- Maintain vehicle in accordance to Elkhart Transportation management policy.
- Operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner complying with company policy and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Support on-time delivery by transporting loads by established route to proper destination as efficiently as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Inspect trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and it is the correct load before leaving facility.
- Verify product count while truck is being loaded.
- Comply with obtaining correct acknowledgement or signature and date for bill of lading and necessary signatures and date; return properly completed documentation to Transportation Manager.
- Comply with performance measures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- CDL A License.
- Prior experience driving in large vehicles, such as box truck or similar.
- Demonstrated experience practicing safe driving practices.
- Previous experience delivering and handling freight preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear.
- Frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Sit occasionally.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Frequent exposure to ambient temperatures.
- Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- On the road, may encounter traffic or other hazardous driving conditions.
