CDL A Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a CDL A Truck Driver with Tanker endorsement to join our Field Service Center Team. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction. The role involves driving Class B straight trucks and rollbacks, as well as Class A tractors with lowboy, flatbed, and tilt deck trailers. Other tasks may include carrying materials, stacking materials, maintaining the yard, and performing cross-functional tasks as part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Operating and driving CDL type trucks
• Ensuring thorough knowledge of DOT rules, particularly load securement and hours of service
• Climbing up and down off trailers and equipment safely
• Using electronic logs and computer programs for time entry (training provided)
• Communicating effectively with others by phone, in person, or through email
• Assisting with loading and unloading materials
• Performing other construction-related tasks when not driving
• Maintaining and inspecting equipment

Requirements

• CDL A with Tanker endorsement required
• 2+ years of experience operating Class B straight trucks and rollbacks
• 2+ years of experience operating Class A tractors with lowboy, flatbed, and tilt deck trailers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong prioritization, organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Computer literacy for electronic logs and time entry
• Willingness to travel throughout PA, DE, MD, and VA as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level
• Ability to endure rough terrain while driving
• Capability to climb into and out of truck cabs
• Ability to bend, squat, and kneel for equipment maintenance and inspection
• Capable of simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
• Acceptable corrected vision and hearing in both eyes
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (wet, muddy, cold, hot, humid)

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. preferred with basic reading and writing skills

Pay

$21.00/hr - $28.00/hr (based on experience)
