About the role
Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.
Responsibilities
- Use your CDL license to deliver products to our customers.
- Be responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, including receiving, unloading, and storing material, as well as picking and loading product for customer orders.
- Offload trucks with materials from our vendor, and load trucks with product to ship to our customers.
- Operate a forklift; forklift operator experience and certification is a plus!
- Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches customer orders.
- Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Lift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.
- Use your CDL A to deliver products.
Requirements
- History of being a truck driver, delivery driver, and especially experience with a Class A CDL.
- Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.
- Strong physical stamina – this role requires a lot of physical activity.
- Highly organized and self-motivated – you should be a self-starter who doesn’t require constant supervision.
- Experienced driver with a Class A license (CDL A) and medical card.
- Able to pass drug test, background, Clearinghouse and motor vehicle pre-employment screen.
- Required to pass a driving test.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card.
