Ewing Outdoor Supply-Distribution Center Base Pay{{{{:}}}} $25.00/hr The Ewing CDL Driver serves as the front line for customer relations, customer service, branch and vehicle maintenance, and daily branch deliveries. A CDL Driver provides meaningful service to our customers in the most pleasant and professional manner possible.A CDL Driver will support the branch manager and dispatch managers and the company's goals. Drivers are expected to support Branch Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful branch operations, maintaining vehicle safety, as well as providing customer support. Additional requirements include the completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Branch, its Region, and its Division. Responsibilities Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centersInspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenancePlan routes and meet delivery schedulesComply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsReport defects, accidents, or violations Requirements Proven work experience as a CDL DriverHands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsNo recent moving or driving violationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendationsValid CDL licenseUse of payroll system regularly to clock in and out in accordance with Company policy and state/federal laws and regulations Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness ResourcesProfit Sharing We have the 4 C's that make your job a career!
