CDL A Driver

Requirements

• Non-CDL with a clean motor vehicle record
• At least 1 full year of verifiable Tractor Trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Delivery experience
• Valid Medical DOT Card
• At least 22 years of age
• Comfortable driving both Tractor Trailers and Straight Trucks

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above head
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds
• Use pallet jacks and forklifts
• Regular use of a phone and PC
• Reading and writing of various shipping documents
• Touch freight

Skills

• Assembling/disassembling freight
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Strong knowledge of roadways throughout the immediate and surrounding areas
• Ability to read and understand tariff signs and signals
• Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms, and other related documents
• Basic PC skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to discern numbers and information
• Ability to manage deadlines
• Ability to use various dock equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, banding/shrink wrap, and other materials

Pay

Anticipated starting pay: $25/hour. The final starting salary may be adjusted based on prevailing market conditions, location, and other factors.
