Responsibilities
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
- Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
- Drive tractor-trailer to destination, adhering to commercial driving regulations and maneuvering safely on roads and customer premises.
- Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures, and exceptions.
- Unload trailer and deliver product into customer premises.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL-A).
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks safely and effectively, including work instructions, safety protocols, and operational communications.

Drivers average a 4-day work week, with dispatch beginning on Mondays. Most dispatches occur between 1am and 4am, with live drop deliveries.
