About the Role
Gold Star Foods is seeking experienced Class A CDL Route Delivery Drivers to join our transportation team in Huntingdon, PA. This role is home daily and off weekends, providing a strong work-life balance while contributing to a mission-driven organization that serves schools and communities across the country.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and timely delivery while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Use a scanner to properly account for all inventory on truck.
- Collect signed invoices at each stop for product verification.
- Unload the truck at delivery stops and at the end of the day.
- Keep your vehicle clean and in a safe condition.
- Maintain and follow DOT Rules and Regulations.
- Demonstrate consistent, on-time attendance.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) for the past 3 years.
- Valid Class A Driver's License.
- Current DOT Medical Certificate.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to obtain additional certifications based on school or military base requirements.
- Able to pass drug, background screenings, and fingerprinting.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday with occasional layovers.
- Start times between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM until route completion.
- Average weekly hours under 30 hours in a work week.
- 40 work weeks per year, following local school schedules.
- Weekends, holidays, and summer months off.
Pay
- Starting rate of $26.50 per hour, with potential to move to $27.00 after 90 days.
- Earning potential of $58,300 to $74,200 working 50 to 60 hours over 40 work weeks.
