CDL-A Delivery Driver (Regional Route)

Pay: Up to $90,000 yearly with bi-weekly pay. Flexible schedules and home weekly availability. Typical routes are 3–4 day over-the-road (OTR) runs, including overnight shifts.

About the Role

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition while serving as the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers. The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, OTR, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop deliveries. Responsibilities include delivering and unloading food and food-related products safely and in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers to answer questions accurately and promptly.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post-trip inspections) of tractor, truck, and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues or needed repairs.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; report safety hazards immediately.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; verify counts and customer invoices.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly, including logs for hours of service.
• Drive to customer locations and deliver orders according to predetermined schedules; unload products and transport items to designated storage areas.
• Perform damage control checks, scan items, and follow company policy for removing damaged orders.
• Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures; collect payments (cash or checks) where required.
• Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors; ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked/secured at all times.
• Unload damaged goods and customer returns at driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Secure all equipment and complete end-of-shift paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
• Valid/current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
• Able to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move product cases/freight weighing between 10–90 pounds throughout the shift.
