Position Overview
The CDL Class A Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering materials to customers at designated locations within specific timeframes. This position requires safe operation of a delivery truck, maintaining positive customer relationships, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Work Hours
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, starting at 3:00 AM until all deliveries are completed. Occasionally, shifts may begin as early as 1:00 AM.
Essential Functions
- Organize placement of material on trucks for effective and timely delivery
- Inspect trucks each day per DOT regulations and complete required DOT paperwork
- Deliver material to customers and pick-up returns
- Communicate with the sales department regarding any issues with orders
- Build and maintain positive customer service relationships
- Assist in various tasks that promote the effective functioning of the warehouse
- Always carry a photo ID and cell phone
- Wear long pants and work boots
- Immediately report any accidents/incidents to your immediate supervisor
- Clean out truck cab and box after each delivery route
- Stage all returned material in appropriate areas
- Addis with picking or put-away in the warehouse
- Assist with other tasks as assigned

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Travel
This position requires branch travel.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two years of CDL-A driving experience required
- Valid CDL-A driver’s license
