CDL-A Dedicated Yard Jockey

Responsibilities

• Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
• Maneuvering the truck into loading and or unloading positions
• Visually inspecting trailers and or trucks before and after moving each
• Connecting tractors to trailers
• Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
• Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Minimum 1 year of recent CDL-A experience, van type trailer preferred
• Previous Jockey or Switcher experience, preferred
• Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• No more than three moving violations and or accidents within the last three years, subject to review
• Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
• Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance

Qualifications

Must have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.

Skills

Strong physical stamina, manual dexterity, and attention to detail are essential.

$29.00 per hour

Start time: 11:00 AM, Monday to Friday and Saturdays if needed
